The Heritage Collection

October 4 - October 28

French Coffee House at Pompallier Mission and Printery, Kororāreka

Throughout the month we will be offering a selection of baked sweet treats inspired by the baking history of France. Drawing on ingredients and flavours arriving aboard merchant ships into 19th century Kororāreka,

Our offering includes a vibrant Tarte au Citron (citrus tart) incorporating delicious fresh lemons supplied by the 1830s English farm, Te Waimate Mission and a Café au Lait Éclair featuring the Bay’s own Tohorā Coffee.

Different items from our Heritage Collection will be available throughout each week, including freshly baked options made without gluten containing flours.

Continue your journey through the history of Pompallier Mission and Printery – Purchase an item from our Heritage Collection during the event and receive a special rate on a guided tour while you’re here.
