This creation is a true showcase of Northland’s talent and produce. At the heart is The Old Packhouse’s signature ‘made from scratch’ pastry, golden, flaky, and lovingly crafted in-house. It becomes the base for a vibrant flavour journey that celebrates citrus, chocolate, and local excellence.

The dessert, our “Zesty Orange & Lime Danish with Chocolate,” layers rich crème patisserie with tangy lime curd and candied orange, creating a bright, refreshing balance of sweet and sharp. Adding depth is the renowned Ludbrook House Orange and Lime gel, a jewel of Kerikeri orchards, alongside a delicate mint and chocolate tuille that crowns the dish with artistry.

To complete the pairing, this decadent pastry is matched with Max Coffee, another Kerikeri favourite. The robust, roasted notes of the coffee cut beautifully through the citrus and chocolate, creating harmony in every sip and bite. A refined, indulgent expression of Northland’s best.
