Get ready for a Big Weekend! The Bay of Islands Big Weekend presents OKTOBERFEST! Featuring the best local craft beer, oompah band, pretzels and sausages, The Bay of Island’s biggest, baddest celebration of beer and food is here. Dust off your Dirdnl and Lederhosen and get ready to party!

Our full-blown Oktoberfest celebration will be held within the perfect setting of our uber-sized Pavilion, transformed into a Bavarian beer hall. The Little Oompah Band will take the stage, delivering a raucous blend of traditional German tunes and modern hits with their signature oompah twist.

All our great Northland beers will be on tap, with PhatHouse Brewery, QBrew, Heavens Brewery, Bay of Islands Brewing and McLeods, plus Northland wines and spirits for the non-beer drinkers and a range of low, non-alcoholic and soft drinks.

Delicious food includes some essential German faves and will be available all night.

The Pavilion is located close to the tourism hub of Paihia, our event is totally weather-proof, rain will not stop play. If you are planning a long weekend away, put the Bay of Islands on the must-do list, we got you covered!
