Mahoe Medley paired with a QBrew

Owhiwa Road Pizza, Parua Bay

Mahoe Cumin Gouda and The award winning Blue are stars in this earthy, very Northland Pizza. With local Dargaville Orange and Purple Kumara, roasted in our woodfired oven until the sugars have started to caramelise. And of course our own housemade double smoked Chorizo, made the traditional way with no nasties. Check out our event listing for our chorizo making courses if this sparks your interest.

The combo works beautifully, and is tied together with a fabulous Tamarillo Chutney from Whangarei based Taimahi Trust. Taimahi is leading the way in Northland, empowering young people with disabilities in their retail shop, commercial kitchen and Herbarium. With Chef Arana’s guidance they make delicious preserves using the produce from the retail shop, often local and organic. This ensures very minimal shop wastage, love to support sustainable ventures like that!

All this goodness on a base of our creamy lemon garlic sauce, using local lemons from our lovely neighbour and fresh herbs straight from our very own onsite organic garden. Woodfired to perfection on a crispy, thin, hand rolled pizza base.

We have partnered with Glen at QBrew, Maungatapere. Their delicious handcrafted brews are the perfect bevvy to enjoy with your Pizza. Will keep you posted on which QBrew pairs the best!
