LIQUID GOLD: Northland Wine, Craft Beers and Spirits Expo

Get ready for a Big Weekend! The Bay of Islands Big Weekend presents LIQUID GOLD, a celebration of our delicious Northland wine, craft beer and spirits. Set in a stunning Pavilion marquee at the Waitangi Sports Grounds, this event brings together award-winning vineyards, champion brewers, and master distillers to showcase their finest liquid creations.

From midday, guests can explore curated tasting stations, unwind in the lush Gin Garden, grab some tasty treats from our fave food trucks, hear from our top wine-makers and brewers and enjoy the music all afternoon. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur, craft beer enthusiast, or cocktail lover, LIQUID GOLD offers something to delight every palate.

Tickets include 5 x 30ml wine tasting vouchers. All vineyards and brewers will be selling full drinks, and our festival bar has a further range of local wines and beer to purchase. The Gin Garden features our Northland distillers, with a range of cocktails to try! Soft drink and low / non-alcoholic options will also be available.

The venue is The Pavilion…a massive 1200sqm marquee, located close to the tourism hub of Paihia and we have plenty of free parking. Liquid Gold is totally weather-proof, rain will not stop play. If you are planning a long weekend away, put the Bay of Islands on the must-do list, we got you covered! There are seated outdoor areas to enjoy the sunshine and view if the weather is mint.
