Kotare Subtropicals Ramble

Come and join us for a guided walk around the Kotare Farm Orchard, Nursery, and Greenhouse, where we’ll showcase our range of edible subtropical plants growing both outdoors and indoors. You’ll get the chance to sample some of our homegrown New Zealand bananas, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on their flavour, texture, size, and appearance. We’re excited to offer tastings of our unique Honduran and Ladyfinger bananas, which have a distinct taste compared to imported varieties.
With a little help from the warm October sun, we’re also hoping to provide a taste of our greenhouse-grown pineapples, including the Queen or Cayenne varieties. We look forward to sharing this experience with those who can join us!
