A Night with the Negociant

Join us for a night of world-class wines, fun storytelling and lots of laughter! Hosted by The Negociant, Keith Barker, whose down-to-earth approach about wine breaks down barriers.

Keith Barker is well known in the world of wine as an ‘exuberant character’ with a deep knowledge of viticulture. A quick google search tells us he loves driving tractors and leaf plucking. We know he has 36 years of experience in the wine industry, including many years at The Landing. When he says he has ‘done wine tastings for diverse clients’, we know that includes US Presidents and mega rock stars.

Keith is now running his own endeavour in the Far North as The Negociant, sourcing and selling the best wines under his own label, Black Mountain Wines.

Tickets includes 6 incredible Northland wines to taste. There will be music, a licensed bar and delicious food available to purchase.

The Sands Hotel is a beautiful venue overlooking the Hokianga Harbour. Located in Ōmāpere, just 3.5 hours north of Auckland, and 1.5hrs west of Paihia / Russell, the hotel is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life…and a great place to sip wine!
